Lorena (Rene) Henson, 81, of Sadorus, IL, formerly of Johnsonville, IL passed away at 1:19 PM Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Lorena was born March 18, 1928 at Flora, IL to Cecil Clyde and Cora Belle (Pettyjohn) Watson. She married Roscoe Henson June 21, 1947 at Morganfield, KY. He preceded her in death July 10, 1998.
She was a retired Security Guard for Kraft Foods in Champaign, IL and previously a janitor at Sadorus Grade School. Lorena was a member of Brush Creek RLDS Church and the Sadorus Senior Citizens Club.
Lorena is survived by 2 daughters – Joan Deedrick (& her husband Darrell) and Pamela Henson both of Sadorus, IL; 2 sons – Bryan Henson (& his wife Jean) and Terry Henson (& his wife Teresa) both of Sadorus, IL; 1 sister Dorothy McGrew of Xenia, IL. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband Roscoe, 1 son Richard, 3 brothers Harold, Carl, and Jim; 3 sisters Hazel, Georgia, and Norma Jean and her parents.
Funeral services for Lorena Henson will be 11:00AM Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne, IL. Burial will be at Johnsonville Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8PM Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be given to the American Heart Association.
